Report on PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of December 8, 1913. Chas. Lovenberg, Manager. The bill this week is a good lively one, which seemed to please generally. I rather imagine we will do a pretty good week with it. REID SISTERS Two girls who do an old-fashioned acrobatic dancing act, that served its purpose - opening the show. 8 Min. F. S. Can work in Two. RAY CONLIN A very good ventriloquist with a new line of stuff, whose work gave evident satisfaction. 15 Min. in One. MARIE & BILLY HART A well-known act, including a little bit of everything; it seems to have lost the snap that it had a couple of years ago. 22 Min. Open and close in One. FRANCIS MC GINN & CO. In the sketch, "The Cop," not particularly brilliant but seemed to be well liked; the sentiment that goes with it, evidently pleased. 20 Min. F. S. BRONSON & BALDWIN A very good looking young chap and exceedingly pretty and attractive young girl in a budget of songs, finishing with a lively dance; a corking good act that made a big hit. 16 Min. in One. HUBERT DYER & PETER ALVIN This is a very good act. Had them laughing every minute, although in a big show it would be better in an earlier spot. 9 Min. F. S. FISHER & GREEN Two men assisted by a young woman in a sketch that is suggestive of Potash & Perlmutter - something different; good comedy and effectively presented. 21 Min. Open with about 3 Min. in One. Close F. S. RAE ELINORE BALL An attractive young woman, most excellent violiniste; certainly among the best, if not the very best that we have had; a decided hit. 15 Min. in One. JOS. JEFFERSON & CO. In a sketch, "Poor Old Jim." A decided novelty; had the audience laughing almost every minute, although on in a very late spot. 20 Min. F. S. POLZIN BROS. An exceptionally good comedy tramplin act; do some unusual stunts; the comedy is not offensive. 6 Min. in One.
