43 WASHINGTON SHOW R. S. Hobbins December 8, 1913 Lo-Ve & Wilbur: 8 min. F.S. Beautiful special act. Atractive [attractive] man and woman on flying rings. Splendid opening act, which pleased, and was appreciated. MOORE & YOUNG 13 min. in one. Two young girls, attractive and fresh looking. Clever dancers and singers. Went fine. LOUISE GALLOWAY 26 min. F.S. Fairly good sketch "Little Mother" concerning "mother love" and a son's redemption. Also good comedy in act. Miss Galloway clever, and her support is very good. Good applause. JOSEPHINE DUNFEE: 13 min. in one. Charming vocalist, beautiful woman, and handsome gowns. Act of class which was appreciated and applauded generously. PURPLE LADY 30 min. F.S. One act musical comedy by Frank Kennedy featuring Ralph Lynn. Very pretty special set. The music and comedy good. Mr. Lynn as an English for, clever/ With a better looking chorus, and a soubrette who could sing, this set which sounds good on paper, would be a splendid headliner. Got its laughs and a splendid round of applause at finish. INTERMISSION GERTRUDE Vanderbilt and GEORGE MOORE 16 min. in one. Clever singing and dancing, and good comedy. Up-to-date lively act, much enjoyed and appreciated. JACK WILSON: 30 min. in one. An impromptu revue of the show preceding, surrounded with song and dances. Mr. Wilson a scream with his comedy and especially so in the burlesque costumes. He is cleverly assisted by Jack Boyle and Ada Lane, Boyle being a splendid singer. The act was a big hit. Great applause at finish. DE LASSO BROTHERS 6 min. F.S. Special act and appropriate cycloramic curtain. A great casting act, without the posing. The work of these four men sensational and everyone stayed to see them. Went great. PATHE WEEKLY 14 min. Extraordinary, interesting reel of pictures. -2- GENERAL REMARKS: Conceded one of the best shows of the season by Public and Press. CUTS: Galloway & Co. "Damn her" - "MY God" - and business of hitting servants chest. Purple Lady - "Devil" - "bed without your bottle". "no drawers" - "pretty dress she nearly has on" - business of grabbing leg of statue. Jack Wilson - Parody of "You made Me Love You"
