REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW, WEEK DEC. 15, 1913. W.W. PROSSER. MR. B.F. KEITH'S THIRTIETH ANNIVERSARY. SLIDE OF MR. KEITH: At finish of opening overture, the likeness of Mr. Keith was flashed on the screen. It brought several rounds of applause, indicating that our patrons are for him. PATHE WEEKLY: O.K. GORDON BROS. & BOXING KANGAROO: Wellknown act which served as a thoroughly satisfactory opener. Held attention throughout and scored a very good finish. Garden in 4, 13 min. (Open) MOORE & YOUNG: Two young women in songs and dances. Good number of its kind. One girl manifests considerable comedy ability. They both make a good appearance and their act went well throughout, finishing strong. Olio in 1, 13 minutes. (Toledo) CHARLES LEONARD FLETCHER: In impersonations. About the same line of work Mr. Fletcher has always given. Held attention throughout and finished strong. Fancy in 2, Garden in 1, 19 minutes. (New York City) BERTIE HERRON & BONNIE GAYLORD: "Those Two Corking Girls". Open in black-face, a la Nichols Sisters, Close in Pullman Care Set, with idea similar to Flanagan and Edwards. Clever act as a laugh-getter. It is a novelty for two women and scored an unqualified hit. Strong finish. Street in 1, Special in 2, Olio in 1, 19 min. (Open) CHAS. RIESNER & HENRIETTA GORES In "Its Only A show". Singing, dancing and talking number, and a very acceptable one. Held attention throughout and finished strong. Special in 1, 18 minutes. (Toledo) COLLINS & SEYMOUR: In a Nautalic Travesty, "The Battle of Bay Rum". A pretty fair offering of its kind. Did fairly well all the way through and finished moderately strong. Special in 4, 14 min. (Savannah, Ga) LADDIE CLIFF This is the first time Cliff has appeared in this house. He is an artist and knows how to handle his material. He is different from anyone seen here, and went very well, though not big. I attribute this to the house not quite getting the idea of his work. This, however, cannot be construed as a reflection on his ability as there is no question of his merit. He finished fairly strong. I am certain he will go much better during the remainder of the week. Olio in 1, 16 min. (Cleveland) ARCADIA: This wellknown number did quite well. It seems to bad that an act of its general style and class should use a thread-bare, off color, song like "Goody, Goody, Good". Generally speaking, the act was very well liked, especially the instrumental numbers. Finished moderately strong. Special in 5, 21 min. (Chicago) DOOLEY & SAYLES: Some of the old material and some new. Notwithstanding the unusual length of the show, and the difficulty of following same, the pair were the laughing hit of the bill, going very big and finishing strong. Olio in 1, 23 min. (Grand Rapids) HERBERT GERMAINE TROUPE: Three men, two straight, one comedy in a casting act. Good of its kind, going very well and answering allright as a closer. Palace in 5, 9 min. (Cleveland.
