REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW WEEK DEC. 22, 1913..W.W. PROSSER. THE BLESSINGS: Man and woman in head and hand balancing offering. this act is all right of its kind, but nothing out of the ordinary. They introduce some tiresome comedy, and there is too much stalling for the next trick. The work itself is all right and seemed to please. Moderately strong finish. Conservatory in 4, 10 min. (Kansas City) JEAN LIBONATI: Xylophonist. His specialty is the rendition of ragtime numbers which he puts over in fine shape. Made a favorable impression and finished strong. Olio in 1, 15 minutes. (Cleveland) BERNARD A. REINOLD & CO: Three men, two women in "How Hofmeister Did It". Quite a good German-American comedy with the conventional father, mother, daughter and beau. The act is well presented, found favor at once winning laughter and finishing fairly strong. Special in 4, 31 min. (Louisville) JON JOSEFSSON'S ICELANDIC GLIMA TROUPE: Four men in an exhibition of remarkable tricks in the line of self-defense. I obviated a wait before this act by having Josefsson himself make an explainatory announcement. He was inclined to doubt his own ability, but I induced him to try, and he did the trick very well, arousing considerable interest before the act proper, was shown. this act proved of unusual interest, gaining attention from the very first, going big and finishing very strong. Olio in 1, Garden in 4, 10 min. (Cincinnati) STAN STANLEY TRIO: Two men, one woman in a good comedy novelty. The act opens with one man, appearing in 1, as a magician. A good line of laughs are secured through the efforts of the male plant interrupting the magician. The plant is finally persuaded to come upon the stage when the act goes to Palace in 4, and finishes with bounding table exhibition by the man and woman. All in all, the act is an unusually entertaining and found favor at once, going big throughout and finishing strong. Street in 1, Palace in 4, 24 min. (Syracuse) KATHLEEN CLIFFORD: Late star of "Little Boy Blue". Miss Clifford was handicapped on account of several days' illness during her previous engagement at Cincinnati. She was by no means in good condition, but proved very game and went through her work without a hitch. She did moderately well and got along first rate considering the difficulty under which she worked. Finished fairly strong. Special in 1 1/2, olio in 1, 14 min. (Louisville) APDALE'S ANIMALS: Wellknown dog, bear, monkey &c. offering which did very well throughout, holding attention and finishing strong. Palace in 4, 11 min. (Pittsburgh) PATHE WEEKLY: O.K.
