B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE, CINCINNATI, O. Week of Dec. 28th, 1913. John F. Royal. YANKEE AND DIXIE 15 min. F.S. Interior. Two cute little fox terriers in a commonplace dog act. They do several good stunts, but a little too much kind applause with the American flag. Their balancing on the rope and participating in a musical selection with bells at the finish gets this act by for an opening. INDIANAPOLIS. MERRITT AND DOUGLAS 13 min. in One Singing, dancing and talking act, one man working straight, and the other doing comedy. The act started off very slow, but gradually picked up and closed well. Nothing exceptional about this act, but they work hard, get some good laughs, and in fact held this spot down well. Good finish. OPEN. MILTON POLLOCK AND COMPANY 17 min. F.S. Libr. three men and a woman in a sketch entitled "Speaking to Father". This is a bright and snappy little playlet, with laughs from beginning to end, plenty of action and good situations. It went over very big. Strong closing. MILWAUKEE. BRONSON AND BALDWIN 16 min. in One. Man and woman in singing and dancing. This pair makes one of the best acts of its kind we have had here this season. They work fast all the time, have some good material and look well. Miss Baldwin is especially clever, and they work well together. She makes several changes, all of which are pretty. Their whirlwind dance at the finish got them a big closing. TOLEDO. JOSEFFSON'S ICELANDERS 9 min. 2 min. Open in One, in which Joseffson gives speech.of explanation. This is a novel wrestling act of the most unique type, presenting "Glima", the mode of self-defense used in Iceland. It is a very fast act and is educational as well as entertaining. There is'nt a dull moment in it, and at the finish the act went very big. Very appealing to the male element of our audience, also an act which should cause gossip. INDIANAPOLIS. GEORGETTE 16 min. in One. A juvenile singing comedienne, with plenty of personality, some good songs and pretty costumes. She puts her songs over well, and her youth, together with her ability, made her a big favorite. Went very strong. INDIANAPOLIS. NINE WHITE HUSSARS 18 min. in Two. Special. This is the big hit of the bill. Nine good looking men in a musical and vocal feature. They are well trained, very picturesque and all good showmen. The act has been well arranged for a direct appeal to an audience, and the program also shows care in selection. The eccentric drummer went big, in fact few acts here go any better than this act has. Closing was tremendous. OPEN. CANTWELL AND WALKER 15 min. in One. Special. Man and woman in singing, talking and dancing. Considering all the singing that went before them, this act got by in great shape, although they had to work very hard. Cantwell, with his eccentric form of comedy, got some good laughs, but his material is not all original. His dancing was very pleasing and, while there was no great amount of big comedy in this act, there were sufficient laughs to get the audience going. The act proved very pleasing. NEW HAVEN. PAULHAM TEAMS 10 min. F.S. Basket-ball played on bicycles by four men. This is a novel act of its kind, and proved a good closing feature. BIRMINGHAM. CINCINNATI MOTION PICTURES Interesting. CUTS Merritt & Douglas Story about "I am way ahead of you" Milton Pollick & Co. "God" Cantwell and Walker "Pure Husband Gag", also story about being chicken inspector.
