REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW, WEEK JAN. 12, 1914..W.W. Prosser. ALEXANDER BROS: Two men. Novelty ball bouncers. A very excellent act, exceedingly novel, very classy and thoroughly artistic in presentation. Went well throughout and finished strong. Special in 2, 10 min. (Cincinnati) MEREDITH SISTERS: Wellknown "sister" team in the same act they have presented for years. Only fair throughout. One number gained considerable applause, but, all in all, the offering did not go well. Moderate finish. Olio in 1, Special in 4, close in 1, 15 min. (Canton) HILDA THOMAS & LOU HALL: In "The Substitute", an acceptable comedy skit which did quite well throughout, finishing strong. Nothing big, but, all in all, satisfactory. C.D.F. in 3, 21 minutes. (Grand Rapids) BRONSON & BALDWIN: In "Pickings From Song and Dance Land". Classy offering of its kind. Went well from start to finish, gaining applause after each number, and finishing very strong. Olio in 1, 12 min. (Detroit) HARRY TIGHE & CO: Seven men, three girls in a comedy of college life, "Taking Things Easy". All in all, thoroughly entertaining, although it dragged in spots. Generally speaking, the act was well received, getting liberal laughter and applause and finishing strong. Special in 3, 43 min. (Cleveland) JULIUS TANNEN: The same clever artist as before. He did not have the slightest trouble from the moment he entered. Held interest and had them laughing all the way through. Finished very strong. Olio in 1, 18 minutes. (Harrisburgh) MAREENA & DELTON BROS: Three men, two straight, one comedy, in as fine an exhibition of hand-balancing as has been seen here for many a day. Very few walked out on them, which speaks volumes here. Finished strong. C.D.F. in 3, 9 minutes. (Open) PATHE PICTURE: O.K.
