97 B.F. KEITH'S THEATRE, CINCINNATI, OHIO. Week of January 19th, 1914. John F. Royal. ALEXANDER BROTHERS 10 min. in two. Interior. Firemen would not allow them to use their special velvet drop on account of fireproofing. This sort of spoiled their picture. Two clever boys with a novel ball-bouncing act that is quite original, and it made a big hit with our audience, because it was so different from the stereotype opening. INDIANAPOLIS. JOSEPHINE DUNFEE 15 min. in One. Olio. Because of the fact that is was necessary to put Eddie Foy and his family on early to soft soap the authorities, we had to put Miss Dunfee on second. Notwithstanding this position, she went very well. All her numbers were applauded and she gave an encore. Wears beautiful gowns and makes a striking appearance. She was a hit. INDIANAPOLIS. MCCONELL AND SIMPSON 28 min. F.S. Dark Lib. Popular man and woman in sketch entitled "The Right Girl". It was a laugh from start to finish and went over in big shape. Closed very strong. LOUISVILLE. EDDIE FOY AND FAMILY 19 min. in One. Special. This act was a riot. Audience broke in every few minutes with applause, and every father and mother ought to be here this week to see the kiddies. It isn't so much what they don, as the way they do it, and if we are not bothered by the authorities - and we have heard nothing as yet - the act ought to do us some big business. MILWAUKEE. MCCART AND BRADFORD 24 min. F.S. C.D.F. Three men and a woman in first Irish sketch that I have seen go in this German town. Although following two strong comedy acts, continued to keep the audience laughing and closed very big. The sketch is well written and has bright lines and amusing situations. Mr. McCart and Miss Bradford are both real performers, and in any city where there is an Irish element, should go very big. PITTSBURG. HINES AND FOX 19 min. in One. Two boys in piano and singing act. Sunday matinee on second they stopped the show, and in this hard spot went over big. They started off rather slow, but as soon as the singer started to do his "Nance" the act went at a whirlwind speed and a big finish. These boys are two of the cleverest we have had here this season and are genuine hits. PITTSURG. THREE BARTOS 6 min. F.S. Pal. This is a splendid closing feature of the athletic kind. The men work fast and graceful and have a number of difficult feats. Held them in in good shape. CLEVELAND. LOCAL MOTION PICTURES Still interesting.
