REPORT ON B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE - BOSTON - MASSACHUSETTS Week of january 19, 1914. (Robert G. Larsen.) THE EVANS. 10 minutes f. s. Garden. two men and a woman in a foot juggling act, using balls, barrels, a bed, and a prop battleship. The propertyman gets some comedy out of the falls. A first-rate opening act. DOROTHY KENTON. 10 minutes in one. Olio. Banjo player. About the same act she gave us on her last visit. Going well in this spot. HOMER MILES & CO. 19 minutes f. s. Special cycloramic set. To my mind, "On The Edge of Things" is the best sketch Miles has ever given us. An interesting story with a novel stage setting and quite a bit of comedy. Went over in very good shape at both performances. RAY CONLIN. 16 minutes in one. O. P. Drapery. Scored a decided hit. GEORGE COPELAND. 21 minutes f. s. Music room. Copelands is considered the greatest of the pianists, with the possible exception of De Pachmann. Newspaper critics declare him superior to Paderwski. He is offering a programme of five numbers, including his own original interpretation of the "Blue Danube" Waltz. This afternoon Mr. Copeland scored a hit. In fact he was obliged to give Debussy number as an encore. He is a big favorite with musical people and I believe he will draw us some money. TONY HUNTING and CORINNE FRANCIS. 16 minutes in one. Garden. "The Love Lozenger." The same act they have always given us. A hit. "THE DARLING OF PARIS" 24 minutes f. s. Special set. Same productions as at the Palace, and of course, not as imposing as the original one with Mina Minar. but is value for the money. Went over good. GUS VAN and JOE SCHENCK. 16 minutes in one Olio. These boys have a practically new routine of character songs. Held this spot in fine shape. HERBERT DYER and Co. 7 minutes f. s. special drop. The best comedy ring act we have ever played. A riot of laughter from start to finish. CUTS: Ray Conlin - "Bushwah" and "Jew and banana gag. Darling of Paris -business of grasping girl's let in model number. Herbert Dyer - throw hat into audience.
