R. S. Robbins WASHINGTON SHOW January 19, 1914 THE ROSAIRES 8 min. F.S. Man and good looking woman daintly [daintily] dressed, in novel and difficult stunts on wires. Got a fair hand Stuart & Keeley 14 min. in one. Special velvet drop. Young man and woman. Pretty fair dancing in attractive and character costumes. Song by man only fair. Got a fair hand. PAUL MCALLISTER AND COMPANY 18 min. F.S. in a comedy sketch "Putting It Over" The sketch has no merit. Neither funny or interesting, or requiring exceptional acting. The best part is not played by the Star and his support is not very good. Mr McAllister is a local favorite here, being a former leading man at a Stock house. His following was with us strong Monday, giving him an enthusiastic reception. [REINE?] DAVIES 17 min. in one. Special velvet drop. Songs. Four beautiful changes of costume. Splendid accompanist who got a big hand after his solo number. This act goes fairly well. CHADWICK TRIO 20 Min. F.S. Two men and Two women. "Wiggins Training Camp" Clever and funny. Miss Chadwick's comedy on the "nut" order, getting her big laughs, and her clog dancing an ovation. Curtain speech also gets her a big hand. INTERMISSION HOWARD'S NOVELTY 16 min. F.S. Special set. Shetland ponies and Terriers in extraordinary stunts. Beautiful act with novel comedy finish. Gets a big hand. MILT COLLINS 16 min. in One. Monologist in german dialect. Raps politicians and others in a way that keeps the audience convulsed. This act a hit. BERT CLARK AND MABEL HAMILTON 32 min. Opens in two, going to three and closes in four. Special set. "A Wayward Conceit". A clever burlesque skillfully done. Mr. Clark's humor as the aristocratic tramp is much appreciated. He gets an ovation after scene playing piano in snowstorm. Miss Hamilton very attractive, with stunning gowns and pleasing voice. The closing Japanese love song and dance is especially effective and excites a big hand. This act makes a hit. PATHE WEEKLY Exceptionally good run of pictures
