REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW, WEEK FEB. 2, 1914..W.W. Prosser. HEUMAN TRIO: Two men, one woman in a straight and comedy cycle act. Conventional of its kind, showing nothing new, but well presented. Made a satisfactory opener. Garden in 4, 15 min. (Pittsburgh) LEE BARTH: Presenting dialect songs and stories. Clean-cut fellow who has a good line of material which he delivers in a capable manner. Made a very good impression throughout, finishing strong. Oili in 1, 15 minutes. (Louisville) KLEIN, ABE AND NICHOLSON: Three men, one straight, two character, in instrumental, comedy and talking number. Got a great number of laughs and their music went very big. Strong finish. Palace in 2 close in 1, 17 minutes. (Cincinnati) MARIA LO'S "PORCELAIN": A posing act that is different from anything we have had here, the principal being reproduction of china and porcelain masterpieces. Seemed to thoroughly interest. Applause after each number, and a fairly strong finish. Special in 4, 12 minutes. (Cincinnati) THE GIRL FROM MILWAUKEE: Young woman with a powerful voice which she handles capably. Put over several songs in fine shape. Applause after each number, and a very strong finish. Olio in 1, 10 min. (Toledo) MACART AND BRADFORD: Presenting comedy playlet, "The Second Generation". This well-known pair have a great comedy offering. There is a political background to this story. A successful old Irishman, the father in the piece, and his present-day son and daughter providing the necessary contrast for the comedy element. There was undivided attention, hilarious laughter and a strong finish. C.D.F. in 3, 25 min. (Knoxville, Tenn) CANTWELL AND WALKER: Man and woman in "Under The Gay White Lights", a singing, dancing and talking skit. This is an up-to-date offering of its kind, with many good points, abundant life and all the necessary elements for a hit. The act scored nicely throughout and finished strong. Special in 1, olio in 1, 17 min. (Toledo) MISS LEVAIN AND CO: One woman, two men in a hand-balancing and head-spinning offering. Good act of its kind, which was alright for a closer. Held them well throughout and had a good finish. Palace in 2, 5 min. (Cleveland) EDISON COMEDY PICTURE: O.K.
