REPORT FROM B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE - BOSTON MASSACHUSETTS. Week of February 9th 1914. (Robert G. Larsen) THE PATRICKS. 7 minutes in two. Palace Drop. A big, strapping woman and an under-sized man in an equilibristic exhibition, finishing with the pole balancing. Woman does the understanding. Man is rather awkward and lacks finish. Just a fair opening act. MABEL SHERMAN. 10 minutes in one. O. P. Drapery. Singing comedienne. This young woman was formerly of Lasky's "Clownland." Makes a charming appearance and has some pretty changes, but her programme needs attention. Got by in this position. EL REY SISTERS. 11 minutes f.s. Palace. Two extremely pretty girls doing the Tango and Turkey Trot on roller skates. One of the best acts of the kind we have ever played. Fast and lively. Just caught the crowd that came in to see the Castle Pictures. Finished exceptionally strong. JOSEPH HART'S "TELEPHONE TANGLE" 18 minutes in two. Special set. (Open in one long enough to set.) This act proved one of the big laughing hits of the show. The idea and setting are new, and extremely well done. An excellent novelty. JOHN HYAMS and LEILA McINTYRE. "The Quakeress." 25 minutes. Open special drop in one. Go to Bare stage. Close two minutes in one. Olio Drop. A very quiet and dainty act that pleased the audience immensely in this position. PEALSON & GOLDIE. 17 minutes in one Street. these two Hebrew comedians duplicated the hit they scored on their last visit here. The whistling went exceptionally big. WILLIAM A. BRADY'S "BEAUTY IS ONLY SKIN DEEP" 25 minutes. f.s. Open special set. The comedy hit of the show. Has a novel setting an interesting story that arouses the sympathy of the audience, and some extremely bright lines and situations. Had the audience laughing all the way through. A strong hand at the finish. FREDERICK V. BOWERS and CO. 17 minutes. Special Drops. Open in one. Go to f.s. close in two. the applause hit of the show. Bowers was nothing short of a riot. The dancing of his darky stopped the show. Closed to a tremendous hand, and was obliged to make a little speech. LANE & O'DONNELL. 11 minutes f.s. Landscape. One of the very best of the "bumo" acts. Made a great closer. CASTLE PICTURES. 17 minutes in one. Picture sheet. That Boston is interested in dancing was very evident to-day. Four-fifths of the house remained to see these pictures, and they were punctuated by frequent applause. As the city is in the throes of an anti-tango agitation, and Mr. and Mrs. Castle dance at an exclusive Back Bay function on Saturday afternoon, these pictures should draw us some money.
