THE DARROWS. 14 min. F.S. A good opener. Made a fair impression with the sand and smoke pictures, but the comedy work in shadowgraph pictures received a good deal of applause throughout and closed well.
HANDERS & MILLISS. 8 min. in one. Made good in this spot with eccentric dancing, patter, piano-playing and hat-juggling. Closed to good applause.
FREDRIKA SELMONS & CO. "Liz." 21 min. F. S. This is a fair East Side sketch of the typical slang order, with some comedy, some pathos and some melodramatic situations. Miss Slemons plays her part too loudly and mars the sketch so that the act won only a light closing hand.
ADELE RITCHIE. 22 min. in one. Miss Ritchie was a riot of applause today, mainly owing to her splendid appearance with magnificent costumes, abundance of flowers passed over the footlights and above all a boy tenor in street dress in one of the boxes helping her out with the 'Mandalay" song and also with the penny whistle song during which she throws whistles into the audience. The last was certainly a hit and was compelled to repeat it, helped out in comedy with a toy poodle. Closed very strong.
BOGANNY'S BAKERS. 7 min. F. S. This well known act was a bigger hit than ever. In fact, it was a scream from start to finish, mixing comedy with some splendid acrobatic stunts nd above all working with amazing rapidity. A riot at the finish.
BERT ERROL. 13 min. in one. The classiest female impersonator on the stage today, not only making a fine appearance, having a superb soprano voice and knowing how to use it to the best effect, but also has a comedy vein that keeps the audience laughing while applauding his grand opera selections. An emphatic hit, making a very strong close.
THE O'MEARAS. 10 min. F.S. A beautiful demonstration of the latest tango society dances, both making a prepossessing appearance and passing from one dance to another and closing big with a very difficult acrobatic dance.
KELLY & HARRISON. 19 min. in one. Carry their own drop representing a rural scene. Harrison works straight and Kelly as a country sheriff. Line of talk is excruciatingly funny and had the audience in roars of laughter all the way through. Kelly's rube dance is likewise a scream. Held this spot in as strong a manner as anyone could wish.
HERZOG'S HORSES. 12 min. F. S. Well known closing act that held the people in fine shape. Could not be improved as a finishing feature.
KINETOGRAPH. Repeat of the Vernon Castle tango society dances.
GENERAL REMARKS. This show played immensely. Plenty of comedy, a hit for a headliner and a genuine novelty in Errol.
