B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE - BOSTON - MASSACHUSETTS. Week of March 2nd, 1914. (Robert G. Larsen) ALTUS BROTHERS. 9 minutes in one. Olio Drop. Two boys doing a fast, clean club juggling act, something after the style of the Juggling Burkes. Were brought in to open the show Monday and Tuesday. A good opening act. CARSON and BROWN. 8 minutes in one. Garden Conventional two-man dancing act with two changes of costume. Filled this spot acceptably RAYMOND and BAIN. "Locked Out" 13 minutes in two. Special drop. A rather neat little act that got some laughs in this position, but the finish was only fair. LIGHTNER and JORDAN. 14 minutes in one. O. P. Drapery. Two nice-looking girls in a first class sister act, with grand piano. Beautifully dressed, and everyone of their songs is new. This should entitle them to a niche in the Hall of Fame nowadays, when everyone is singing the same songs. Went over big at both performances. MRS. GENE HUGHES and CO. 29 minutes f. s. C D F "Youth." Has some new people in the cast, but they are all capable. The sketch proved one of the big laughing hits of the show. Closed strong. DEVINE and WILLIAMS. 15 minutes in one. Same big laughing riot as on previous visits. THREE RENARDS. 8 minutes f. s. Palace. Two men and a woman in a series of iron-jaw stunts. Much to good to open a show. Owing to the non-arrival of the elephants, played them in this position Monday and Tuesday, and they went over big. RAY L. ROYCE. 24 minutes in one. Olio Drop. Mr. Royce is doing about the same line of character studies that he offered on his last engagement here, five years ago. Got many laughs, a hand after each impersonation, and a strong close. NIGHT IN AN ENGLISH MUSIC HALL. 20 minutes f.s. Special set. Some minor changes have been made in the arrangement of the act, and there is a new drunk in place of Billie Reeves. It is extremely doubtful, however, if any in the audience recognized the difference, as the man got a reception on his entrance. Scored the same solid laughing hit as on previous visits. THE CASTLE PICTURES. 14 minutes in one. Sheet. Their showing here, and apparently as popular as ever. MISS ORDFORD'S ELEPHANTS. 17 minutes f. s. Garden. This troupe took two days to come from philadelphia to Boston. They were stalled in a snowdrift at Trenton all day Monday, and arrived just in time to close the show Tuesday night. They had been heavily advertised, and the town has been talking for two days about the lost elephants, with the result that a crowded house greeted them Tuesday night. the same big hit as in other cities where they have played. should cause a lot of comment, and draw us some business. CUTS: English Music Hall - business of boy thumbing nose.
