BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW MARCH 2, 1914. LEACH & WALLEN. Wire act, 8 minutes, full stage, plush drop. Good slack wire act, Considerable new work, and some that has been seen before, but all done in a most artistic manner. A very pretty act to look upon and one which holds the attention through-out. Applause was not much in evidence, yet it could be plainly seen that audience appreciated the act immensely. LYSA GRANT assisted by JACK SHIRLEY. Singing and dancing. 10 minutes, full stage, plush drop. Good act of song and dance. Dancing of the lady very good. The termination depicting some of the latest and popular dances was extremely well done, and scored well with the audience. The act is prettily costumed and a certain quality of refinement makes it especially appealing to a fastidious and discriminating audience, One of the very best doubles played here for some time past. 5 ANNAPOLIS BOYS. Singing novelty entitled, "On a Cruise to the Land of Harmony". 14 minutes, full stage, special set, Good act. Something different from most of its kind. Singing is good and have wide range of songs. Pretty act from scenic standpoint. Made tremendous hit, and received long and hearty applause. W. E. Parmenter Manager. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW MARCH 5, 1914. DOLLY MEADEN. Singing comedienne, 8 minutes in (1). Quite a good soprano voice, and good choice of selections. Very smartly gowned, and of pleasing presence. Applause was not of the most vigorous kind. THE THREE MELVINS. Sensational Gymnasts. 7 minutes, full stage. Exceptionally good. Hand to hand balancing mostly all new stuff, and two or three tricks were positively thrilling. Audience liked them immensely and accorded them big applause. WEBB & BURNS. Italian Minstrels, 16 minutes in (1). Two men. Good act. Vocal selections very well rendered. Instrumental work fairly good. Went very big both matinee and evening, and received big applause. W. E. Parmenter Manager.
