BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW MARCH 23, 1914. CHIEF TENDAHOE. 11 minutes, full stage. Shows the usual run of Roman ring work with one or two new tricks fairly good. His posings while exhibiting his great muscular development are very interesting. The act fell flat last night and there was no demonstration out in front. MYERS & HALL. 15 minutes in (1). Two women. Very weak act. Poor singing and a miserable attempt at comedy. On the whole one of the poorest acts that has ever played the house. The audience displayed nothing in the way of approval and there seemed to be a general feeling of relief when they had finished. C. H. O'DONNELL & CO in "Flashlight Craigin". 20 minutes, full stage. Two men, two women. Sketch itself is rather good, well conceived, and well written, and O'Donnel himself is very good in the lead. But the remaining members are not very convincing and there seems at times to be great difficulty in interesting the audience. This however is true of most every sketch that has ever played here. Our audiences as a rule do not take kindly to anything in the playlet line, and they never help in making business good, regardless of how meritorious they might be. Audience last night did not display any great enthusiasm and they finished in almost painful silence. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW MARCH 26, 1914. DEVOIE TRIO. ATHELETES, 8 minutes, full stage. Excellent act most of the work on the rings is decidedly new, and performed with astonishing ease and grace. Received good hand on almost every trick done and at the finish the applause was of the heartiest description. GUERRO & CARMEN. Violin and harp, 14 minutes in (1). Great Act. His performance on the violin is most praise-worthy, while the lady's renditions on the harp have never been excelled by anyone who has played here. They had the audience deeply interested and received most gratifying applause. RAWLS & VON KAUFMAN. "A WILLING WORKER", 23 minutes C.D.F. Extremely good act. comedy all new and of irresistable quality. The black-face done by Rawls has never been surpassed here and his droll unctious humour proved most infectious, and the audience was in paroxisms of laughter from start to finish and at the termination accorded long and vociferous applause, recalling again and again a team whose success here is beyond question. W. E. Parmenter Manager.
