191 BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW MARCH 23, 1914. CHIEF TENDAHOE. 11 minutes, full stage. Shows the usual run of Roman ring work with one or two new tricks fairly good. His posings while exhibiting his great muscular development are very interesting. The act fell flat last night and there was no demonstration out in front. MYERS & HALL. 15 minutes in (1). Two women. Very weak act. Poor singing and a miserable attempt at comedy. Ont he whole one of the poorest acts that has ever played the house. The audience displayed nothing in the way of approval and there seemed to be a general feeling of relief when they had finished. C. H. O'DONNELL & CO in "Flashlight Craigin". 20 minutes, full stage. Two men, two women. Sketch itself is rather good, well conceived, and well written, and O'Donnell himself is very good in the lead. But the remaining members are not very convincing and there seems at times to be great difficulty in interesting the audience. This however is true of most every sketch that has ever played here. Our audiences as a rule do not take kindly to anything in the playlet line, and they never help in making business good, regardless of how meritorious they might be. Audience last night did not display any great enthusiasm and they finished in almost painful silence. W. E. Parmenter manager. His performance in the violin is most lady's renditions on the harp have never been excelled by anyone who has played here. They had the audience deeply interested and received most gratifying applause. RAWLS & VON KAUFMAN. "A WILLING WORKER", 23 minutes C.D.F. Extremely good act. Comedy all new and of irresistible quality. The black-face done by Rawls has never been surpassed here and his droll unctious humour proved most infectious, and the audience was in paroxysms of laughter from start to finish and at the termination accorded long and vociferous applause, recalling again and again a team whose success here is beyond question. W.E. Parmenter Manager.
