REPORT ON B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE - BOSTON - MASSACHUSETTS. Week of March 30th 1914. (Robert G. Larsen) THE LELANDOS. 10 minutes in two. Palace Drop. Novelty painting act through transparent screen. One of the best acts of the kind we have every played. HANDERS and MELISS 7 minutes in one. Olio Drop. A good two-man dancing act introducing a little piano playing. Filled this spot acceptably. BARTO and CLARK 13 minutes in one. Special Drop. These people have improved considerably since their last appearance here. Closed very strong with the dancing finish CHARLES AHEARN TROUPE OF CYCLING COMEDIANS 12 minutes f. s. Two special scenes. Ahearn has added a number of new features to his act, including new scenery and costumes. A riot of laughter from start to finish. JEAN LIBONATI 13 minutes in one. O. P. Drapery. This man calls himself the wizard of the xylophone. He is certainly all of that. Closed very big. JOE KENO and BOSIE GREEN 15 minutes. Open f. s. C. D. F. close Olio Drop in one. A very lively singing and dancing act, the dancing being the feature. Closed strong. HELEN PAGE and CO. "The Understudy." 24 minutes f. s. C. D. F. Open and close special drop in two. A rather neat little comedy sketch dealing with a stage-struck girl who jumps into the leading role of a meladrama without knowing the lines. Consequently she spoils the play and turns a drama into a farce. Miss Page is a pretty little woman with charming personality but her support is only fair. Held the interest. Closed well. TRIXIE FRIGANZA 23 minutes in one. O. P. Drapery and Landscape Drops. Miss Friganza is doing an entirely new act this trip, assisted by two male dancers. Sings a couple of songs, but the principal part of her act is the burlesque Apache and Tango dancing. Held this spot in excellent shape and closed strong. GREAT BORIS FRIDOKOFSKY TROUPE. 9 minutes f. s. Palace. Russian singers and whirlwind dancers. Nine people in a beautiful costumed act. One of the best troupes of the kind we have ever played. The dancing of one of the men is a big hit. Made a splendid closer. CUTS: Trixie Friganza - business of thumbing nose Charles Ahearn - male and female dummies in bed together Keno & Green - "don't thank me" with reference to cat having kittens.
