B. F. KEITH'S HIPPODROME Cleveland, Ohio Week of March 30, 1914 VAN CLEVE, DENTON & PETE - - Cyclorama. Special in 4. 10 minutes. Man, woman and mule. This is too well known for comment. Gets plenty of laughs throughout and makes a good opener. (Columbus) JOHN GEIGER - - Street in 1. 12 minutes. His imitations and popular melodies as good as any violin act given us in the past. Closed to big applause. CROSS & JOSEPHINE - - Man and woman. Special velour drop in 1. 24 minutes. A musical comedy pair, whose singing and society dancing are about the best ever. Pleased immensely. (Indianapolis) WILLARD SIMMS & CO - - Sketch "Flinder's Furnished Flat", Simms' old vehicle. 2 men. 1 woman. Open special C.D.F. in 4, close Palace in 1 20 minutes. Closed big. (Chicago) BELLE BAKER - - Palace in 1. 10 minutes. A clever, entertaining character singer, with some new and "whistly" vocal selections. Her song "He's a Devil in His Own Home Town" is bright and new. She received big applause and scored easily. (Syracuse) BERTHA KALICH & Co - - 3 men. 2 women. Special scene in 4. 26 minutes. Mme. Kalich's performance is about as fine as she has ever given us. Her wonderful, gripping and superb emotionalism is intense, and her great talent is demonstrated in ths playlet "Marianna". She ought to be a big drawing card. Closed to big applause. (New York) BUD FISHER - - Special in 3. 7 minutes. Gives his usual enjoyable cartoon drawing act and pleases, although he act is very short. (Buffalo) THE REED BROTHERS - - Garden in 4. 2 men. The work of one, in eccentric acrobatics on the bars, in a scream. They put over much in contortions and acrobatics that is absolutely new. (Open)
