200 BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT IF SHOW MARCH 30, 1914. FOSSATTI, comedy piano-accordionist, 12 minutes in (1) FAIR ACT, but we have had much better of the same class of offering. Billed as comedy performer, but the comedy fails to materialize. However audience seems to like him, and accorded fairly good applause. WARD & CULLEN, singing and piano, 12 minutes in (1) GOOD ACT, much of their stuff new and up-to-date, and pleases greatly. Made good hit, and received good applause. JOE BOGGANNY'S LUNATIC BAKERS, 9 minutes full stage special set. GOOD ACT, and show much new. The whirl-wind character of their offering is very acceptable and they made a decided hit with every audience today, although applause was rather slight. W. E. Parmenter Manager. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW APRIL 2, 1914. DANCING MADDENS, 8 minutes in (1) Quite an ordinary act excepting the eccentric dance by the man which really saves the act from the very common-place,a s it is the only bit in the entire act which seems to appeal to the audience. Fair applause. LIGHTNER & JORDAN, 12 minutes in (1) Very good act, and made a substantial hit. Few sister acts have excelled there two here. Originality is much in evidence, and the audience was quick to recognize true quality much as is evident in this offering. Numerous changes of costume of a strikingly beautiful character add greatly to the act. Very substantial applause. THE GREAT HOWARD, 18 minutes C.D.F. Best ventriloquist act that has yet played here. made a good hit, but I would not consider him strong enough for feature, when one remembers the really great features we have been having for some time past. He complains of illness which might detract from his act to some extent. Applause only slight. W. E. Parmenter Manager.
