226 R. S. Robbins WASHINGTON SHOW April 20, 1914 ASAKI 9 min. F.S. a good appearing Jap wearing American clothes, doing fancy roller skating and juggling. The finish exciting. Good opening act. Good hand. ADELAIDE BOOTHBY & CHAS. EVERDEEN 15 min. in one. Miss Boothby attractive and wears good clothes. Opens with a whistling solo which goes only fairly well, then sings three comedy character songs. Her best number is "Becky at the Movies", affords opportunities and is fairly well done. Everdeen sings on comedy song. All numbers good for a fair amount of laughter and applause. THE GLIDING O'NEARAS 9 min. F.S. Original variations of the modern society dances done as expected by experienced dancers. Three fast going numbers, applause after each. LEIPSIG 19 min. in one. puzzling card maintained by an A 1 entertainer. Makes a splendid appearance, nice manner, mixes genuine comedy with his work. goes very good. HERMINE SHONE & CO. 22 min. F.S. "The Last of The Quakers" Artistic set. Company three men and two women. The sketch is a humorous affair with a moral. is well acted and gives general pleasure. Finishes with a good laugh and is well applauded. INTERMISSION FLANAGAN & EDWARDS 18 min. two scenes. Open F.S., close in one. A funny showing of two vaudeville actors as they live off and act on the stage. Lots of sure fire comedy in the first half and clever singing and dancing in the second half. This act is quite a hit. ANNA HELD 23 min. F.S. Songs new and old, interspersed with Kinemacolor pictures of Miss Held at the Zoological & Botanical Gardens, while Miss Held changes her costumes, displaying some gorgeous gowns. The new songs go a little slow at first in spite of the magnetism and art of Miss Held. With the more familiar numbers, which give her better opportunities, she scored satisfactorily. BUCKLEY'S ANIMALS 6 min. F.S. Troupe of small dogs, monkeys and bears. A Roller skating bear the feature of the act. The monkeys with their costumes, roller skates and bicycles create some comedy. Act goes fairly well. PATHE WEEKLY Good pictures General Remarks Good show that will do a great business
