H. T. JORDAN PHILADELPHIA SHOW. APRIL 27, 1914. THE AERIAL SHAWS. 8 min. F. S. Man and woman in a showy routine of double figures on the trapeze. Go through their work with very little stalling and made a satisfactory opener. THE PARSHLEYS. 12 min. in one. Man and woman play a drum, musical glasses and xylophone, using popular selections which won the usual amount of applause. Woman makes three changes of costume. Close with a patriotic number which gave them a good finish. KENO & GREEN. 16 min. A very pleasing singing and dancing act. The dancing is their strongest feature and brought good results. Keno works in a little comedy which added a liberal amount of laughs. Act was very well liked and closed strong. Miss Green made two changes of costume. MARIE DORR. 10 min. in one. Sings three character songs which were very well liked. Closed very well. STAN STANLEY TRIO. 18 min. This is a genuine novelty with a corking good acrobatic finish. It scored a big hit. Stanley and the girl work in the audience at the opening of the act, building up a good laughing start. Act went strong all the way with liberal applause at the finish. CHIEFTAIN CAUPOLICAN. 15 min. This Indian orator and singer made a very excellent impression on a very attentive audience. He has a remarkably strong and pleasing singing voice and his talk is delivered with telling expression with a tinge of humor that makes it enjoyable. He sang three numbers closing with "The Palms" and was rewarded with plenty of applause. W. H. ST. JAMES & CO. "The Come On." 17 min. F. S. This is a fairly good sketch with a peculiar twist at the finish. It held a medium amount of attention and closed fairly well. ALICE LLOYD. 24 min. Sang three new songs and three of her old ones. Miss Lloyd scored a hit as she always does here. While her new songs won warm favor, it was her old ones that brought the biggest amount of applause. As usual she wore several changes of very handsome costumes which created a great deal of enthusiasm among the women. Miss Lloyd is very popular here and showed that she had lost none of her favor gained on former visits. FIVE METZETTIS. 7 min. F.S. Furnished a very excellent closing act at the end of a fast-moving show. These men are all big, unusually so for this kind of work and their single, double and triple somersaults stand out as really remarkable feats on this account. They go through a fast routine of showy tricks and received warm applause. "H. B. B. & PUBLIC LEDGER MOTION PICTURE NEWS WEEKLY. Continue to hold interest. All the views of this week's issue are excellent subjects and proved entertaining. The war preparations at League Island Navy Yard brought forth steady applause. GEN. REMARKS. Today is the first warm afternoon of the Summer and the big circus is also in our midst. Despite this, the show played to a satisfactory house and seemed to get over O. K., although outside of Miss Lloyd it is very light waisted.
