REPORT FROM B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE - BOSTON MASSACHUSETTS Week of May 4th - 1914) (Robert G. Larsen) OWER and OWER 7 minutes f.s. Garden. Knockabout acrobatic act after the style of Work and Ower. Very good opener. HAL and FRANCIS "The Stock Farm." 17 minutes in one. Special Drop. A very neat and dainty little act that got over nicely. Would go better a little further down. FLANAGAN and EDWARDSn "Off and On." 17 minutes open f. s. Chamber. Close olio drop in one. Second visit of this sketch. but scored one of the solid hits of the show. MINNIE ALLEN 13 minutes in one. Special draperies. Miss Allen is not very strong on voice, but she has excellent material and a pleasing personality. Went very well indeed. GUS EDWARDS' MATINEE GIRLS with WILL J. WARD 32 minutes open in one. Close f. s. Special sets. Started off a bit slow, but worked up to a strong finish. A first-rate singing act with plenty of life and ginger. WILBUR MACK and NELLA WALKER 15 minutes in one. Garden Drop. "An Everyday Occurrence." Duplicated their hit of previous visits. LOUISE ALEXANDER and CLIVE LOGAN 14 minutes f. s. Palace. Logan did not show up this afternoon, on account of internal dissension in the act. Miss Alexander went on alone, and besides demonstrating some dance steps, danced with a couple of chaps from the audience. Got away with it in great shape. Logan arrived from New York in time to appear at night, and the act scored a tremendous hit. In fact, they practically stopped the show. The colored orchestra, with a drummer comedian who juggles drum sticks and traps, is quite a feature of the act. JAMES MULLEN and ALAN COOGAN "Odd Nonsense." 21 minutes In One. Olio Drop. These boys had a hard spot., following an exceptionally swift show, but they got away with it in great shape. Mullen's clowning had the audience in an uproar. A very strong close CEDORA, THE GIRL IN THE GOLDEN GLOBE 7 minutes f. s. Landscape. A excellent closing feature. CUTS: Will J. Ward - line about "not wanting to be a bachelor after ten o'clock at night."
