R. S. Robbins WASHINGTON SHOW May 4, 1914 VERNIE KAUFMAN 14 min. F.S. Sensational bicycle riding by attractive woman wearing very pretty costumes, and making changes while riding in view of the audience. Goes well. HARVEY & DE VORA TRIO 19 min. in one. Man, woman and pickaniny. Dancing, singing and comedy of merit. The personality and clever work of the pickaninny a winning factor of the act, also the dressing of the act deserves commendation. The comedy gets over and all numbers go well. HOPKINS, AXTELL & CO. 10 min. in one, and 1-1/2. Two men and a woman in novel a clever travel travesties on Street and Pullman cars. The comedy is good, gets hearty laughs and plenty of applause. JOHN T. MURRAY 15 min. in one. Talking, singing, recitations. Scoring a decided hit. The moving picture travesty with novel light effect, and the recitation of "The Visitor" the big scoring features. DAZIE & CO. in "PANTALOON" by J. M. Barrie 29 min. F.S. company set. This combination of beautiful story, music dance, atmosphere and pantomimic art as performed by Dazie & Company must closely approach perfection in a High Class Vaudeville Act. It is of course scoring an emphatic hit. INTERMISSION ISMED 12 min. F.S. Special set. Turkish effect. Pianist rendering four classical numbers impressively. The Sextette from Lucia arranged for an played by the left hand, a novelty. Each number goes big, in fact he was a hit. TONY HUNTING & CORINNE FRANCIS "A Love Lozenge" 16 min. in one. Singing, comedy and dancing which pleased, drawing a good share of laughs and applause. MARIA LO'S "PORCELAINS" 13 min. F.S. Reproductions of famous pieces of Dresden China with living models proving a charming variations from the usual living picture idea. Enjoyed thoroughly, each picture roundly applauded. HEARST-SELIG REVUE 16 min. A splendid reel, the timely war pictures holding everyone, including the President, to the last. GENERAL REMARKS A show so good that it will combat the competition of Circus, Horse Show, Ask & Wig Club performance, warm weather - a prove a winner.
