BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R.I. REPORT OF SHOW MONDAY MAY 25, 1914. JOHN ZIMMER: Juggler, 10 minutes in (I) A very clever juggler through and through, With some that is old and much that is new And this the audience evidently knew For they applauded quite vigorously when he was through. MELLOR & DEPAULA: Singing and comedy, 12 minutes in (I) A very capable act with excellent choice of songs rendered with much dash and vigor, interspersed with comedythat attacks one's risibilities in a most pronounced manner. Laughter reigns supreme during their appearance and their reception at the hands of last night's audience was ovational to the last degree. VOLANT AND HIS FLYING PIANO: Singing and piano novelty 9Minutes full stage special set. 3 people. A good novelty act bordering on the illusionary and mysterious to a considerable extent. The audience was very attentive throughout, and apparently was much interested, and upon its termination accorded fairly good applause. H.E. [Parmenter?] Manager. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R.I. REPORT OF SHOW THURSDAY MAY 28, 1914. CARITAL Wire act, 6 minutes, full stage. Godd act, works very rapidly, with a surety that impresses the audience because of his almost reckless abandon. Denouement of his act is very startling and affords a genuine surprise. GUY BARTLETT TRIO: Singing and comedy 20 minutes in (I) 3 men. Good act, displaying voices that blend admirably, and their various selections are rich in harmony that compels the audience to enthuse considerably. The comedy interpolations are productive of much laughter, and the audience was generous in its demonstrations of approval. DANCING KEMPS: 6 minutes, full stage, man and lady. Not so capable an act as some others of this nature that have been with us of late. Not until their third and last number did the audience set the seal of its approval, and it was this last number that redeems the act from almost mediocrity. H.E. [Parmenter?] Manager.
