REPORT on BOSTON SHOW for WEEK of SEPTEMBER 7th - 1914 (R. G. Larsen.) PATHE WEEKLY 15 minutes in one. Customary series of news events in motion. NICK'S SKATING GIRLS 8 minutes f.s. Special Set. Put in to strengthen the show, and made a big flash at the opening. TWO MARGUERITES 15 minutes in one. Olio Drop. This is a high class singing act. Fair in this spot - but I would not want to play them again. "ON THE SCHOOL PLAYGROUNDS" 22 minutes f.s. Special Set. This is one great act of its kind. Has a splendid comedian, and was a big hit. RAY and HILLIARD 14 minutes open special drop in one close C.D.F. f.s. This is one of those chorus girl Riverside Drive acts with a line about marriage to save it. It is only fair. EVELYN DUNMORE 15 minutes in one. O.P. Drapery. This young woman has some very good material, and is pleasing. Got over fairly well. FIELDS and WARREN 12 minutes in one. Special Drop. This is a new act that started off good, but dropped a bit, and finished fair. It ought to work up to a good rough comedy act, but is not worth any more than we are paying for it. HARRY BERRESFORD and CO in "Twenty Odd Years." 24 minutes f.s. Special Set. One of the prettiest, brightest and best cast sketches that we have played in a long time. Was a positive hit. GRACE LARUE 20 minutes in two. Palace Drop. Doing about the same line of songs as she did in New York, and while not anything like a riot, was pleasing, and I think mad a good headliner for us. KREMOLINA and DARRAS BROTHERS 12 minutes f.s. Palace. One of the best acts of its kind. A good closer.
