Report on Providence show week of October 26, 1914. Charles Lovenberg, Mgr. This is a crack-a-jack show, every act on the bill scoring most favorably with an unusual number of hits. FORD & TRULY A man and a little dog. The man sings a couple of songs and does a dance and the little dog, which is quite small, dressed as the man is, goes through the same evolutions as the man does in the dance. This act resembles that of Vinton & Buster but not as good, however, good value for the price. 12 minutes in one. ADELAIDE BOOTHBY ASSISTED BY CHAS. EVERDEAN AT THE PIANO Miss Boothby sings some character songs and does some pantomime work all in a most acceptable manner. The act made good thoroughly and could easily go down a couple of pegs on the bill. Great value for the price. 15 minutes in one. SUTTON, MCINTYRE & SUTTON Two men and a woman in an acrobatic act interspersed with comedy talk, dancing, etc. Unusual in it's frame-up and quite good. 13 minutes F. S. ROXY LA ROCCA A young Italian fellow with a good personality who plays the harp exceptionally well. 14 minutes in one. SHANNON & ANNIS This is an old act formerly played by McKenzie & Shannon but now brought up-to-date and much better played than by the original team. Scored quite a hit. 18 minutes in two. RYAN & TIERNEY Well known singers with one man at the piano who scored their usual hit. 13 minutes in one. MARIE FITZGIBBON A rather good looking woman something of the Elizabeth Murray type, who tells stories to my mind better than any woman story teller I ever heard. She had them screaming for 12 minutes then finished with a serious poem for 3 minutes, which to my mind, [???] the act. Exceptionally good, however, and well worth playing. 15 minutes in one. KITTY GORDON & CO. I do not know of any act that we have played which has more class than this. We all know of Miss Gordon's beauty. She has a good sketch well played. She sings a song well, all of which together with her beautiful costumes and draperies will no doubt make an attraction that will draw business. I would say she is a particularly good attraction for the matinees, which we seem to need these days. 25 minutes special set in F. S. closing with about 10 minutes in one. BICKEL & WATSON With the show running late and following all the excellent material that proceeded it, these men were a tremendous laughing hit. 15 minutes in one.
