BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW MONDAY NOVEMBER 16, 1914. JOHN LeCLAIR: Juggler, 13 minutes (1) Practically the same act that has been seen for some time. One or two new effects, and a little comedy here and there produces a laugh. HOLMES & WELLS: Singing and dancing, 12 minutes (1) Man and Lady. Good act, inasmuch as it is mostly all new and original material. Both have fairly acceptable singing voices which blend admirably; The man has one song which is really good. A clever little dance introduction at the termination shows skill and originality. THE FASHION SHOP: 23 minutes full stage special set. 5 Ladies. 2 Men. A novelty pure and simple. What with beautiful scenic and lighting effects, combined with the creation of beautiful and at times almost gorgeous style conceptions upon some extremely comely and attractive living models, the act easily occupies a most prominent place among the truly big features we have yet played. As a comedienne Blanche Latelle is irresistible. As a charming, sprightly, vivacious entertainer Helene Julyette is positively supreme. Because of the newness and novelty of the affair the act is really the talk of the town, I personally, having received innumerable praise-worthy comments from scores of our regular patrons. [W. E. Parmenter?] Manager. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW THURSDAY NOVEMBER 19, 1914. DERRENZA & LADUE: REvolving pole act, 7 minutes, full stage. 2 men. Fair act, showing nothing of a startling nature. Poor attempts at comedy. DOROTHY MEUTHER: Singing comedienne, 14 minutes (1) Displays good voice in an excellent choice of songs. Very engaging personality, and makes an excellent impression. W. E. WHITTLE: Ventriloquist, 16 minutes, full stage, special drop. Good act, the comedy producing considerable laughter, and making a fairly good hit with the audience. [W. E. Parmenter?] Manager.
