Report of Providence show week of February 1, 1915. Chas. Lovenberg, Manager. As a whole the bill is very satisfactory. One or two of the acts are a little light-waisted but they are forgotten after the show is well started. VANDINOFF & LOUIE Rapid painting in oil. First part of the act only fairly interesting. Gets quite a good hand on his revolving frame picture painting. 10 minutes F. S. AUBREY & RICHE Two girls with a number of costume character songs in one with a finish with a scene in F. S. with a very effective drop in black and white. They have some pretty good songs and there has been some work done on the act that is entitled to credit but you cannot take a couple of ordinary chorus girls and give them material and expect it to go over. In the hands of a couple of good performers it would be a good act; as it is, it is acceptable but is not worth anything like the salary they are receiving. 12 minutes in one. 3 minutes FS LOU ANGER Well known Dutch comedian who got his material over in fairly good shape and finished to a good round of applause. 16 minutes in one. WERNER AMOROS TROUPE Four men, one made up as a young girl in an act combining juggling, acrobatics, music, and comedy, the comedy being no small feature of the turn. A real big hit. 19 minutes F. S. SOPHYE BARNARD Miss Barnard sang four selections and was well received by the audience but I see no reason why she and Mr. Anger get as much money as they do. Another $100.00 sliced off their salaries would make things more equitable. 13 minutes in one. MARX BROS. & COMPANY In an act that has been described fully several times. I only want to say that they were certainly a hit. Had the audience laughing and applauding practically all the time. 44 minutes. Have an opening in one of about 4 minutes, remainder of act F. S. FOSTER BALL & FORD WEST In their well known dialogue in which Mr. Ball impersonates an old Grand Army man. Went very well indeed. 23 minutes in one. AZARD BROTHERS A very good hand balancing act. 7 minutes F. S. MOTION PICTURES O. K.
