Report on Providence show week of February 8, 1915. Charles Lovenberg, Mgr. This is a most satisfactory bill. One which pleased the audience from beginning to end. It may be a little shy on class but it is there in plenty with comedy, which is of more importance. THE DANCING LA VARS This is a satisfactory act for the opening. First part of their act is a little slow but they finish very well indeed. 11 minutes open in one for 2 minutes, remainder of act F. S. ROACH & MCCURDY This act is so well known that it requires no mention other than to say it went very well indeed. 20 minutes in one. IRENE & BOBBIE SMITH Two young girls in comedy songs and a little work at the piano. One of the girls is a very clever comedienne and the other makes a very good assistant. Pleased the audience thoroughly. 13 minutes in one. MORTON & AUSTIN & CO. It is too bad for these people to split and destroy this act, which I consider the best low comedy act of its kind I ever saw. They were probably the big hit of the show. 18 minutes open F. S., 3 minutes in one. FANNIE BRICE It is fair to Miss Brice to say that she was laboring under the handicap of a severe cold, however, she did very well indeed, better than I expected she would although not the hit she has been in other places. Nevertheless she is a very clever performer. 18 minutes in one. HARRY BERESFORD & CO. In a splendid sketch excellently played. An act that could be made a feature on any bill in the world. 25 minutes F. S. WALTER C. KELLEY First time here in six years. Very big hit. 17 minutes in one. FRED. J. ARDATH & CO. "Hirum On The Farm". Second time here for this well known slapstick act which cleaned up as usual. 21 minutes F. S. MOTION PICTURES O. K.
