221 221 REPORT on BOSTON SHOW for WEEK of MAY 3rd - 1915. (R. G. Larsen.) O'KURA JAPS 10 minutes f.s. Garden. A Japanese and a white woman in a very good balancing and foot juggling act. Made an excellent opener. HILDA B. MASON and GEORGE MURRAY 16 minutes in one. Garden. This act opened Tuesday evening to give us more time, as the show was twenty minutes short on Monday. A bit early for a talking act, but they went very well considering the early position. ROBINS 10 minutes in one. Olio Drop. This is a very good act. Robins is a clever mimic of various musical instruments, and has some good comedy. Could go further down on a bill and make good. JOE KENO and ROSIE GREEN 15 minutes f.s. C.D.F. Short close in one. Olio Drop. Doing about the same line of stuff as on previous visits. Act is full of life and ginger, at any rate. JOSEPH JEFFERSON and CO in "Poor Old Jim" 22 minutes f.s. C.D.F. Second appearance here of this act. Going very strong. CLARK and VERDI 17 minutes in one. Street. One of the laughing hits of the show. MADAME EMMA CALVE 19 minutes f.s. Music Room. Madame Calve's reception was tremendous, and the applause at the close of her act was little short of an ovation. Sang four numbers and two short arias as encores. Then the audience wanted more. JIM DIAMOND and SYBIL BRENNAN 14 minutes in one. O.P. Drapery. A hard spot for any act, but these people got away with it in very good shape. MAXINE BROTHERS and BOBBY 10 minutes f.s. Palace. This act features a wonderfully clever dog. An excellent closing act. COMMENT: A good show.
