BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW MONDAY MAY 31, 1915. JACK ONRI: Comedy juggler, 10 minutes (2) Good act, being very dexterous and skillful with some very clever tricks. SIMPSON & DEAN: Singing and dancing skit, 10 minutes (1) Their 'tough' character work is funny and gets plenty of laughs; it is by far the best thing they do, the remainder of the act being very ordinary. FIVE VIOLIN BEAUTIES: Musical offering, 15 minutes full stage, special drop. Fairly good act, display some rather fetching costumes, and their selections are just barely acceptable. The fact of their having played the opposition house during the Sheedy regime hurts the act emphatically, many of our patrons having tole me personally that they had seen the act at the other house. This same is true of a number of other acts which we have offered recently, and I know positively that this condition hurts us materially. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW THURSDAY JUNE 3, 1915. KITTY FLYNN: Singing comedienne, 10 minutes (1) Fair act; Sings in a voice of no great excellence, and dances only fair; One or two impersonations are not worthy of any special comment. AMERICAN COMEDY FOUR: 21 minutes (1) 4 Men. One of the weakest quartettes yet seen here. The comedy gets a number of laughs, but as vocalists they are not there. THE GLADIATORS: Athletes, 9 minutes full stage special drop, 2 Men. Very good act, performing a number of feats requiring great strength, and marvelous muscular development which these two possess in an unusual degree. Well put on as to scenic equipment, and made a real hit.
