H. T. JORDAN PHILADELPHIA SHOW JUNE 21, 1915. HEARST SELIG PICTURES. Fairly interesting series of news pictures. BOOTH & LEANDER. 11 min. Two men bicyclists, one working straight, the other in comedy makeup. Fair routine of familiar tricks with some light comedy. Made an acceptable opener. BERNARD & SCARTH. 11 min. "Loan-Sum Street." Man and woman in a talking skit. Use a lot of quiet comedy talk with one song number. Talk is a bit quiet but well handled and got a fair amount of laughs. ED. BLONDELL & CO. 19 min. "The Lost Boy." Same old sketch he has been using for years. Got plenty of laughs and finishes to a good hand. HARRY TIGHE & BABETTE. 19 min. Man and woman singing and talking. Open with some chatter, introducing a couple of songs then a duet with Tighe at the piano. The latter is the best portion of the act and won them a liberal hand. PRINCESS RADJAH. 11 min. Classical dancer. Opening with the Cleopatra dance and closing with a short number called "The Arabian Chair Dance," the latter including swinging a chair held by her teeth while she is dancing. The Cleopatra dance is rather a showy number in which a live snake is used. The Princess finished to a strong hand. MILO. 16 min. This is a surprise act. Works in one, strip of carpet, orchestra playing classical number. Milo sings off stage, then ambles on in tramp makeup. His material includes imitations of instruments, animals, birds, etc. He follows with an Irish ballad number which he sings very well. This is a clever act and Milo gets a great deal out of his material. He was one of the big hits of the show. ELIZABETH BRICE & CHARLES KING. 20 min. F.S. A very high-class singing and dancing act with a man at the piano to furnish the music. Sang a number of their songs and gave several of their dances from "Watch Your Step." Each number scored solidly and at the finish they were accorded a big hand. A thoroughly enjoyable act and very good for a summer bill. WALTER C. KELLY. 18 min. in One. "The Virginia Judge." Had a number of new stories to deliver in addition to his familiar Southern court-room specialty. Scored as big a hit as ever. GALETTI'S BABOONS. 14 min. F.S. One of the very best animal acts on the stage. The baboons ride dogs, play musical instruments and work in a lot of comedy that brings good laughs. Act is nicely staged and showy and scored strongly. GEN. REMARKS. A very good summer season bill with three big sight acts, plenty of comedy and lively singing and dancing by the headliners which built up a first rate show. CUTS HARRY TIGHE & BABETTE: Elimination of word "God." BOOTH & LEANDER: Elimination of "mock prayer." NOTE: Milo was recommended by Harvey Watkins and on his first big-time showing this afternoon scored strong enough to warrant a route over the big time the coming season. H. T. JORDAN
