REPORT on BOSTON SHOW for WEEK of AUGUST 9th - 1915. (R..G. Larsen.) PATHE NEWS 16 minutes in one. Customary series of parades, with very little else of interest. LEO JACKSON and MAE 11 minutes f.s. Palace. A bicycle act, doing about the usual routine of tricks. A good opener. HARRY WAIMAN 13 minutes in one. Olio Drop. This eccentrio violinist was brought in Monday night to fill out time, after the matinee fell short. Works in neat English walking suit, and played three numbers, closing with "Home Sweet, Home," as played the world over. He surprised by stopping the show. Waiman should be booked up at once. MOSCONI BROTHERS 8 minutes in one. Street. A rattling good dancing act, with one of the best imitations of Charlie Chaplin we have ever played. A hit. WALTER V. MILTON and CO "Don't Walk In Your Sleep" 17 minutes f.s. Plain chamber. A broad farce dealing with a souse, and his fiancee, who invades the souse's friend's room at night while walking in her sleep. There are the customary mixups and misunderstandings, and the act got a lot of laughs. Closed well. EDNA SHOWALTER 11 minutes in one. O.P.Drapery. This young woman has a beautiful voice, and sings several operatic selections, closing with "Last Rose of Summer." Went very well. ARTHUR McWATERS and GRACE TYSON 23 minutes f.s. Special Draperies. First time they have played here in years. Some new material, and some old, all of which went over. Finished strong. CONROY and LeMaire 20 minutes. Open street in one. Close special set in two. Second time here of "The New Physician" and a big laughing hit. CHARLIE OLCOTT 15 minutes in one. Olio Drop. Mr Olcott has a genuine novelty. He proved one of the brightest spots in the show. Got laughs all through, and closed strong. ODIVA and HER PACIFIC SEA LIONS 22 minutes f.s. Special Set. This act has been improved greatly since its first appearance here. The addition of the trained sea lions and the new and imposing scene make it one of the most novel water acts in vaudeville. The swimming and diving of the performing seals made a big hit. Held the audience seated all through, and closed to a big hand. CUTS: McWaters and Tyson - "Honest to God" - "Walk down one flight and take the elevator there, so the boy won't know where you come from."
