BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW MONDAY AUGUST 9, 1915. WARD & HOWELL: COMEDY SINGING SKIT, 14 MINUTES (I) TWO MEN. Their singing is nothing phenomenal, but the comedy occasioned by the veriest nonsence produces plenty of laughter, and the act was received with much acclaim. MAYBELLE MORGAN: VOCAL OFFERING, 12 MINUTES (I) Sings a good line of selections in a voice rather pleasing in quality. She possesses a particularly fine wardrobe and the costumes displayed are uncommonly attractive. IRENE WEST'S HAWAIIAN SEXTETTE: IN NATIVE MUSIC AND DANCING, 17 MINUTES FULL STAGE SPECIAL SET. The "Hula-Hula" dance creates quite a sensation, and some of the native selections owing to the peculiarity of melody were rather interesting. On the whole the act was fairly well-received, but not as favorably as some big features that have been shown here. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW THURSDAY AUG. 12, 1915. PRAGER & McGUIRE: SONGS AND DANCES, 13 MINUTES (I) TWO GIRLS. Fair act, with rather a pleasing variety of original songs. A toe-dance is quite well done: The audience is inclined to be lenient toward their deficiences because of their vary apparent juvenility. GASTON PALMER: JUGGLER, 9 MINUTES () I Very good act, his many difficult feats denoting him to b e a real artist in his line. He is certainly the most akillful juggler ever seen here. KAPTAIN KIDDER CO: OPERATIC COMEDY, 18 MINUTES FULL STAGE Special set, One Lady. Four men. Fairly good act, the lyrics being rather catchy, and the score, for the most part, quite tuneful. As vocalists they do not escend to any great heights, albeit the act was quite well received. Scenic investiture is adequate, and makes an attractive picture.
