REPORT on BOSTON SHOW for WEEK of SEPTEMBER 6th - 1915. (R. G. Larsen) PATHE NEWS 6 minutes in one. Picture Sheet. Good assortment of pictures this week. THE CLOWN SEAL 13 minutes f.s. CDF. A very well-trained animal with some good comedy stunts. Made a great opener. BURNS and LYNN 14 minutes in one. Street. These boys have changed their act some since they were here last. Scored quite a hit. BAYONNE WHIPPLE, WALTER HUSTON and CO in "SPOOKS" 16 minutes f.s. Special Set. A rather novel little comedy, well played, with some odd mechanical effects. Went very well in this spot. HARRY LESTER MASON "The Janitor" 13 minutes in one. Special Drop. This man has a very good line of original material, and he kept the audience laughing constantly. Closed well. THE NEW YORK FASHION SHOW 35 minutes f.s. Special Set. Second and last week. Showing some new creations, the product of local modistes, for the second week. Held the interest of the male, as well as of the feminine portion of the audience. GEORGE PERRY and FRANKIE HEATH 18 minutes in one. Olio Drop. Miss Heath is a "dead ringer" for Miss Lee White, but has more vivacity and ginger. A good, lively, singing and comedy act that went over first-rate. SCHWARZ BROTHERS COMPANY "The Broken Mirror" 21 minutes f.s. Plain Chamber. One of the best novelties in the comedy line we have played in a long time. Kept the audience laughing every minute, and closed big. LYDIA BARRY 24 minutes in one. O.P. Drapery. Miss Barry is doing the same songs she offered on her last visit here, but going big in this position. BANKOFF And GIRLIE 10 minutes f.s. Palace. A splendid dancing act, with some marvelous Russian twirling by the man. Opens a bit quiet, but made an acceptable closer. Too bad to use this act to close, but it could not be helped under the circumstances. CUTS: Lydia Barry - thumbing nose and "six children" gag.
