BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW, THURSDAY, OCT. 28, 1915. JEANETTE CHILDS: SINGING COMEDIENNE: 15 MIN. (1) Singing is not notable, and the rather poor attempts at comedy get very little laughter. On the whole, rather a weak offering. ROGERS & McINTOSH: SKETCH, 18 MIN. C.D.F. Well written and cleverly acted little sketch, with much breezy comedy, and amusing situations which are successful in creating an almost constant stream of laughter. ECKERT AND PARKER: COMEDY SKIT, 16 MIN. (1) SPECIAL DROP. No finer comedy offering has been seen here this season; with new and original material handled as only real performers could handle it, the turn is a riot of laughter and made a most emphatic hit. [W. E. Parmenter?] Mgr. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R.I. REPORT OF SHOW, THURSDAY, NOV. 4 1915. CHARLEY JONES: PROTEAN SPECIALTY, 9 MIN. (1), SPEC. DROP. A good line of material which, if he knew how to handle better, would assure him success, and make a good comedy offering. NOVELTY TRIO: SONGS AND DANCES, TWO LADIES, ONE MAN, 12 MIN. (1), SPEC. DROP. One duet is fairly well done; the remainder is very tame, and they experienced difficulty in keeping the audience interested during the progress of the turn. JEWELL'S MANIKINS: 17 MIN. FULL STAGE, SPECIAL SET. Unquestionably one of the best acts of its kind, but in my opinion it would fit better on the big ten-act bills. There is would be a delightful bit of novelty; Here it hardly measures up to the standard of some of our past achievements in the matter of features. [W. E, Parmenter?] Mgr.
