H. T. JORDAN PHILADELPHIA SHOW. MARCH 6, 1916. SELIG TRIBUNE 14 min. Fair. TOGAN & GENEVA. 8 min. Young girl and fellow in a series of dances on the tight wire. Their routine is exceptionally good, all their feats being cleverly done and the man finishes with a back somersault. The act closed to a big hand. MAURICE BURKHART. 15 min. This fellow has one of the most novel singing acts we have had in a long time. He sings several numbers, all but one being mixed in with the business of his act. Uses one published number. He has an excellent voice and makes good use of all his material. At the finish he was forced to take several bows. "THE NEW PRODUCER." 20 min. This is a grand opera act with three well known principals supported by a chorus of seven. Their selections are taken from popular grand operas and introduced with a short dialogue, being in the nature of a bare stage act. The singing is very good and was rewarded with liberal applause. MONROE & MACK. 16 min. This recently reunited team has a sure-fire laugh-winner. They use a lot of comedy talk and four songs, all of the latter being original with them. Their talk is handled with splendid results, keeping the laughs going steadily. Their act may be classed as a "nut" act. Finished strong. MOON & MORRIS. 11 min. Two young men in a very novel dancing act. They do three dances, all of them original in style and very well executed. They have been prominent in musical shows, were given a reception and finished to a big hand. ANNA CHANDLER. 24 min. Sang six numbers, three of them new and each of them well received. She makes good use of her songs and also makes an attractive appearance. Scored solidly. CRESSY & DAYNE. 25 min. In "One Night Only." This is Mr. Cressy's newest comedy sketch and while hardly up to some of his former sketches, got a fair amount of laughs through the comedy talk and the description of an automobile which is used as a "prop." The playlet has sort of a sentimental finish, like all Cressy sketches, but closed with a laugh. Won a fair amount of applause. SAM BERNARD. 23 min. The well known German dialect comedian was a tremendous applause hit. His stump speech kept the audience laughing and his parodies and burlesque dancing gave him a finish that brought a riot of applause. In the next-to-closing position, he was undoubtedly one of the biggest hits of any single turn we have had in a long time. DANUBE FOUR. 6 min. Four men in a very showy casting act with a good routine of tricks, all well done. Did very well in the closing spot of a long show getting a good hand on their finish. GENERAL REMARKS. A very good comedy show with plenty of laughs scattered all the way through it. Owing to so much talking in the show, Cressy & Dayne and Moon & Morris changed places after the matinee. CUT ANNA CHANDLER: Use of the word "God."
