BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW FOR MONDAY, APRIL 10, 1916. BUD LORRAINE: 12 MINUTES (2) SPECIAL DROP As we said before they are tiring somewhat of these entertainers, and this would probably account for the rather tame reception of this act, which at best is only passably fair. WILLIE DUNLAY & BESSIE MERRILL: 15 MINUTES (1) A good line of material very original, produces plenty of laughs and they met with good success. MR. HARRISON BROCKBANK & CO. 22 MINUTES FULL STAGE SPECIAL SET 4 PEOPLE Considering the French element here the reception of the sketch was somewhat disappointing, they did not enthuse as I had hoped they would. Undoubtedly they liked it in a silent undemonstrative way, and the affair went better than anything else in the sketch line seen here in a long time. [W. E. Parmenter?] MGR. REPORT. On acts playing the BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R.I., Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, April 17, 18, 19. STODDARD AND HYNES. "The Absent-Minded Professor", a comedy musical skit, with a man, and a woman. The act consists of singing, piano-playing, violin playing, and comedy. Work in full stage. Went well. Time- 18 minutes. MARTIN VAN BERGEN. "The Boy From Kansas". A straight singing act, in one, running 10 minutes. Went fair. Robert Henry Hodge and Co. (Feature). In the farce-comedy sketch, "Bill Blithers, Lawyer". Three men and a woman. 24 minutes, in full stage. Went very good.
