BOSTON SHOW REPORT WEEK of AUGUST 21st '16. (R. G. Larsen) PAUL GORDON 9 minutes f.s. Garden Set. Drunk on the wire. Excellent act of the kind. Good opener. CASSON and EARLE 16 minutes in one and two. Olio and Palace Drops. About the same act that Casson formerly did with Betty Bond. All right in this spot. THOMAS F. SWIFT and COMPANY in "Me and Mary" 16 minutes f.s. C.D.F. A neat little comedy with two musical numbers, written around Mr. Swift's personality. Got a number of laughs and closed strong. In fact, a hit. ED MORTON 14 minutes in one. Olio Drop. All of Morton's songs are new this trip, and he puts them over in great shape. WILLIAM and MARGARET CUTTY 18 minutes f.s. Rose interior. Man and woman in piano and cello selections. Clean, high-class musical act, with one song. Went first-rate. BURLEY and BURLEY 13 minutes in one. O. P. Drapery. Tumblers and backbenders, with considerable comedy talk. Good act, and went over strong. IRENE FRANKLIN and BURTON GREEN 30 minutes f.s. White and gold interior. Miss Franklin played this house last April. She repeated very well, offering one new song, several old one, (which she did not do on her last visit) and "Redhead," "The Cash Girl," and "The Old Maid's Home For Mine." The same old hit. BERT FITZGIBBON 21 minutes in one. Street Drop. Doing about the same act as on his last visit. The comedy hit of the show. MARTIN and FABRINI 9 minutes in three. Special Set. "A Flight of Fancy." Novelty dancing act with special scenery and costumes. Excellent closer. CUTS: Thomas F. Swift - business of slapping young lady on thigh. Bert Fitzgibbon - line about "When it was hot she was no Magnolia" and expression, "My God."
