PHILADELPHIA B.F.KEITH'S MARCH 5, 7 PATHE. A fairly good series of pictures. KONERZ BROS. 9 min. Hoop rollers and diabolo spinners. A troupe of five boys in outing costumes. Good routine of tricks well handled. They were added to the bill today and furnished a good opener. MUSICAL JOHNSTONS. 14 min. Two men and a woman with a series of numbers on the xylophone. Same act they have been using and was well received here. GALLAGHER & LEWIS. 19 min. A comedy act opening in one, going to Full Stage and closing in one. The principals assume straight and comedy roles and are supported by a third man and two girls in a series of bits with some songs and an individual solo by one of the girls. The act got only a few laughs and finished very light. (This is about the most expensive luxury we have had in the house this season.) WILL J. WARD & 5 SYMPHONY GIRLS. A medley of vocal and piano numbers with some dancing forms their program. All their songs are well handled and the piano numbers are particularly good. The act was a big applause hit, winning several encores. (25 min.) WILLIAM SISTO. 16 min. "The Italian Statesman." This fellow started slowly with his monologue in broken English but finally got the audience laughing and kept them at it, finishing to a big hand. He did an encore of harmonica numbers which brought him an extra hit. EVELYN NESBIT & JACK CLIFFORD. 19 min. Their new offering consists of some singing, a bit of pantomime, with a dancing finish. Miss Nesbit created some surprise by disclosing remarkable improvement in her voice and both of her numbers were very well received. Their act is magnificently staged, the scenery winning and hand and the act closed with big applause for their dancing. LYDELL & HIGGINS. 26 min. A two-men talking act that registered a big laughing hit. They have a lot of good comedy material, got a lot out of it and have a funny bit of dancing for their finish. The act scored a comedy hit. THOSE FRENCH GIRLS (Amoras Sisters) 11 min. They are doing about the same routine of songs, acrobatic dancing and trapeze work. They scored their usual hit in the closing position, finishing to a good hand. "PATRIA." The eighth episode which ran 21 minutes contains some very thrilling scenes and incidents and held the audience seated. GENERAL REMARKS. Plenty of comedy and singing surrounded the headliner, but the comedy got a late start owing to the big comedy feature falling down in the early part of the show. Following this act, the show picked up and finished thoroughly satisfactory. CUTS GALLAGHER & LEWIS. Throwing hat in audience. WILLIAM SISTO. Closing remark about "Wilson" LYDELL & HIGGINS. Word "hell"
