Report on Keith's Providence Show for week of March 26, 1917. The bill this week is a fairly good one--a little disappointing in some of its more important spots nevertheless got over pretty well. 4 Aitkens An act consisting principally of contortion with a little roller skating and [illegible]tory opener but rather expensive for what you get out of it. 9 Minutes full stage. Young & Waldron This team is composed of Myrtle Young formerly of Moore and Young and Jack Waldron formerly of Lockett and Waldron. An act of singing and dancing, principally dancing of an eccentric order. Fairly good act. 10 minutes in one. Kelly & Galvin Well known act of comedy Italian and straight man. Went over first-rate with the audience. Personally I don't like it. 23 Minutes in one. Henshaw & Avery in their act which has been seen in most places and does not require description here. Went fairly well. 18 minutes open and close in one. Remainder of the act in full stage. Ponzello Sisters Far and away the great big hit of the show. Any real drawing power in the show this week may be ascribed to them. 18 minutes in one. Peacock Alley I was somewhat disappointed in this act. Other than the production and Mr. Rostwick's acting I don't find much to recommend. It is not a particularly good play and drags quite a bit in spots. 31 Minutes full stage. Santley & Morton. These young men don't seem to have held up very well and are not doing as good an act, to my mind, as they did last season. It is not bad however, but only good enough to go fairly well with the audience. 15 minutes in one. Duffin Redcay Troupe Satisfactory casting act. 10 minutes full stage. CUTS Kelly & Galvin Cut word "Wop". Cut joke "from here down she's hilly". Substitute another song for "Knock the L out of Kelly". Henshaw & Avery Cut "the Devil". Peacock Alley Cut word "God". Cut expression "I have got dimples haven't I?"
