PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S JULY 23, 7 PATHE. 15 min. Fairly good lot of pictures CHARLES LEONARD FLETCHER'S WEEKLY SCREEN JAZZ. A good average of subjects this week and they got a liberal amount of laughs. ERNA ANTONIO TRIO. 10 min. A man and two girls in a very good novelty, the man acting as bearer for an apparatus upon which the girls perform trapeze and teeth tricks. Made a very acceptable opener. LOCKETT & BROWN. 9 min. They were formerly of Lockett & Waldron and Young & Brown. The young fellow and girl do songs and dances and although the latter worked under the handicap of having to appear in street clothes, the act did nicely in this spot, the dancing holding them up. SMITH & AUSTIN. 15 min. These two boys worked up a good laughing and applause hit with their nonsensical stuff. Their material is about the same as they have been using for some time now, but it got over in good shape and they finished to a good hand. IDA BROOKS HUNT, ALFRED DE MANBY & CO. 22 min. The high-class musicals offered by these musical comedy favorites scored a big applause hit with our audience. Their program consists of popular numbers, finishing with the "My Hero" number which Miss Hunt created in "The Chocolate Soldier." A piano-player did one number and got applause. The act finished to a good hand. DICKINSON & DEAGON. 18 min. Man and woman in a mixture of comedy talk and songs, the girl impersonating a little child. They have some good cross-fire chatter and got a good bit out of their song numbers. The act got a fair amount of laughs and finished to a strong hand. GUS EDWARDS' BANDBOX REVUE. 37 min. This new musical production of Gus Edwards is a series of song numbers introduced at the opening by a slight story which, however, is not followed very long, giving way to one musical number after another. The principals are Little Georgie and Cuddles, who have been associated with Gus Edwards for some time, supported by several other principals and a chorus. The act is nicely staged and costumed and was a big applause winner. BERNARD GRANVILLE. 25 min. This popular musical comedy comedian upheld his position as headliner in excellent shape. He repeated a lot of the material familiar with him, but introduced some new stuff and has a very good encore number which made quite a big hit. He was generously applauded and finished to a very warm hand, being the big applause hit of the show. SIG. FRANZ & CO. 10 min. A comedy bicycle turn framed up like the old Ahearn Troupe act, consisting of riding all sorts of comedy machines and some fancy riding by a girl. Made a very good closing number. GENERAL REMARKS. This bill furnished good summer entertainment, getting plenty of applause, liberally distributed through the show from start to finish, making it a satisfactory average bill. REPOT ON SHOW Playing The Scenic Theatre Pawtucket R.I. July 23, 1917. Harren & LaMar Two men in one 15 Min. One blackface. A Minstrel First Part. Went Good. Headley LaRue Co. Two men one woman in full stage 14 Min. Comedy Dramatic Sketch well Acted. Went Good. Ryan & Riggs Man and woman in one Special drop 13 Min. Comedy Chatter with a little singing. Went Fairly Well. Those Five Girls A Musical offering of violin and piano playing with two of the girls offering songs. Went Fairly Well.
