183 Boston, Mass., Boston Oct. 15,1917. Tuscano Bros., 9 min.f.s., Spl.Drop. This is the same act that has played Keith's a number of years. (Juggling of battle axes) Went over very good for us. Mason & Gwynne., 12 min.in 1. Man and woman; comedy black-face singing, talking and dancing. These folks appeared very youthful on the stage, and had a very good act. Could easily have played next to closing act on our bill. Were a hit. The Masqueraders; 26 min.,f.s.. Company of about ten boys and girls giving imitation of vaudeville celebrities. This act in its present state does not appeal to our audience, but may have an appeal in small towns. Nelson Waring.,14 min. in 1. This clever pianist was a decided hit and shared honors with Mason & Gwynne as the applause hits of the show. Road to Romany;18 min.f.s.. Gypsy set and costumes. 3 men & 3 women. This act needs new songs and reconstruction of program before being able to give value for the salary. Went fair. NOTE: After Monday Tuscano Brothers closed the show; Road to Romany on No. 3; The Masqueraders opening the show. Both big salaried acts. were a disappointment.
