REPORT ON SHOW PLAYING THE SCENIC THEATRE PAWTUCKET R.I. NOV. 12, 1917. Keane & White Man and woman in two before plush drop 15 Min. Woman plays piano while man does some good card tricks. Man good while woman is fair. Went Fair. Walter Weems works in one 18 Min. Blackface a little singing comedy stories and playing on the French horn. Went Good. Evans & Lloyd Two men one woman in full stage Comedy dramatic sketch Called "Danny" Very well acted and a good sketch away from any thing we have played. Went Well. Lydell & Higgins TWo men and one woman work in one 20 min. before special drop. Comedy offering with a little dancing. Quite a little suggestive material is used in this act. After making some cuts same was much better. Went Very Good. PHILADELPHIA B.F.KEITH'S NOV. 12, 7 PATHE. 13 min. About the average. THE LITTLEJOHNS. 6 min. Man and woman in a club juggling act, very attractively staged and costumed. The routine of tricks is up to the average and they furnished a good opener. MARIE FITZGIBBON. 12 min. A series of stories, several of them in dialect, is used by this woman. She tells them well and after getting a liberal amount of laughs, closed to a very good hand. FUTURISTIC REVUE. 26 min. One of the best operatic troupes we have heard in a long time. The production is highly colored with attractive stage setting and costumes and the voices are above the ordinary. Countess Leonardi who presents the act scored an individual hit with her violin selections. Act closed strong and took several curtains. FOX & WARD. 19 min. A warm welcome was extended to these old veterans of minstrelsy and the old time songs, dances and jokes were hugely enjoyed. They closed to a big hand with their reminiscent history of their partnership. LEW MADDEN. 23 min. This sketch proved one of the big applause hits of the show. It is full of bright talk, some songs and piano-playing, all of which got over fine. Madden handles his comedy in great shape and the act closed very strong, a speech of thanks being necessary. WHITING & BURT. 16 min. With an entirely new lot of songs, this couple were just as big a hit as ever, putting over each one of their numbers to warm applause. Finished strong enough to come back for an extra encore. ADELAIDE & HUGHES. 24 min. The new dance creations presented by these artists alone this season form one of the most artistic offerings they have ever shown in vaudeville. Not alone is their dancing up to their usual class but the costume effects are more elaborate and colorful than anything they have displayed as a team and they contributed a big applause hit. WALTER BROWER. 19 min. Placed just right in the next-to-closing position, he furnished this show with a big laughing hit. Uses a fine lot of comedy talk and puts it over with a punch. A recitation well delivered brought him back for an encore hit. "CREATION." As a scenic spectacle this production furnished a novelty that interested the audience enough to keep them seated to the finish. It is an artistic effect that will be appreciated by any classy audience. (16 min.) GENERAL REMARKS. An an Anniversary bill, this show proved a big applause winner. The majority of the acts appeared in special settings and as a whole it was one of the most attractive shows scenically and in dressing that we have played in years.
