REPORT OF BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I., Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 22, 23 and 24. KEMP & HOWARD--- "On the Way to Africa"--colored comedians; singing, talking and dancing; special drop; 13 min in one; Went good. PAUL GORDON & AME RICA--- In a Cycle of Surprises--open in one with singing, dancing and talking; then to full with a neat cycling act; 10 min. went good. GRACE CARLISLE & JULES ROMER--- In "The Composer"--Stage setting Summer Home in the Adirondacks; piano playing and violin by Mr. Romer; singing by Miss Carlisle; very neat act and went over good; 10 min. full stage. [Signature: A. S. Watson] Report On Show Playing The Scenic Theatre Pawtucket R.I. Nov. 19, 1917. Kemp & Howard Work in one Special Drop 14 Min. Two Men Colored Singing dancing and comedy talk Went Fair. Gordon & Rica Man and woman in one and full stage Singing comedy talk and some wonderfull work in the bicycle line 10 Min. Went Very Good. Moved up to closing after matnee Miller PACKER & Selz Two men one woman in one 14 Min. Comedy chatter singing and dancin closing with harmony singing. Went Very Good. Grace Carlisle & Jules Romer Work in special set full stage 12 Min. Singing piano playing and Violin offering. Very Pretty set but the offering is over their heads or is not up to standard. Went Fair. Moved to second on bill after matnee. REPORT ON SHOW PLAYING THE SCENIC THEATRE PAWTUCKET R.I. Nov. 21, 1917. HARTMAN & VARADY Man and woman in full stage doing a very good offering of whirl wind dancing. 7 Min. Went Good. Maude Rockwell Works in one 14 Min. Asst. by plant in audiennce. Singing comedy and recitations by plant who is an old man. Went Good. Browning & Dean Work in one 10 Min. One make up blackface. Comedy talking offering no singing Went Good. The Russell Quintette Three women two men work in full stage 19 Min. Singing and musical using banjos piano cello and some comedy. Went Good.
