Herewith, complete plans for the "Shack": [[diagram]] first floor plan Snavely Cottonwood Pong - Arkiteck, 1943 EXPLANATION AND NOTES Beginning at the top of the drawing and working slowly downward we take you on a tour of the fan-built and fan-owned building which is to rise in Battle Creek in the near future. It is planned that fans from all over the nation, perhaps even the world, the near and the far---the great and the small, will emigrate to Battle Creek to make a home in this towering edifice. Let us begin at point a. a: Le grand entrance. It will be flanked on either side by a giant neon sign (colors: infra red and ultra violet) proclaiming the name: SLAN SHACK! The doors will be the familiar swinging variety. b: The spacious lobby. Paved with inviting green tile of a soft texture so that visiting fans may scratch names and telephone numbers in the floor. Exhibits of fan interest will be arrayed around the curved walls; niches will hold busts of fans who are busted. In from of the receptionist's desk will be the famous carpet stolen from the Denver hotel by Denventioneering playboys. A last post and a broken beer mug will accompany it. A robot receptionist will sit behind the desk, intoning in a pleasing voice: "Welcome fans. Remover your fez, be sure to read LeZ!" He will never run down.
