MILTY'S MAG. Labor Dept, Sorry I stole your your stuff on this, but it is so obvious that we both think the same way on these matters that it makes little difference who steals whose stuff.....Milty, you should try to overcome this "feeling apart from people", because it is a bad psychological trait. You'll be amazed how much of interest there is in plasin ordinary dopey people if you go to them with a mind open and ready to accept them on their own ground. After all, basically they have the same needs and yearnings as we do, and association with them is a valuable supplement to association with fen. ---oOo--- SUSPRO. To keep the record straight, the reason I asked for negatives of these pics was that I wished to make my own prints to be trimmed and whittled into place in the montage, and of course would not want to chop up someone's precious pic thusly. If I am sent a positive, I have to have it copied in order to get a new print to chop on.......After reading the endlessly long recital of your visit home, I can understand why you find my exposition of the anti-technicological painters unconvincing. You are obviously from a well-to-do family, somewhat on the land-lord and employer type. Obviously a chap like you will have no sympathy with the exploited and abused slaves who make your own rather luxurious sounding bringing up possilble. There is no point in my even arguing with you about it, because you are obviously so anti-labor that you are incapable of sympathising with a laboring man and his problems. Just one example, though....sure, Al would "be quite willing to earn his money some other way". You just want to remember that in ordinary times it is not so much a question of being "willing" to work as it is finding some guy who will let you kiss his ass enough to hire you at 35c an hour. Pooey on you capitalists! It was Dean who said "a fan out of fandom is a fish out of H2O"---but after having met a number of fen in the flesh I definitely endorse it. Juffus, anyone with your long experience with fen should realize by now what a futile and maladjusted bunch we really are. ---oOo--- LEZ COVER. I hope that this does not set a precedent in FAPA. It is awfully easy to send leftover covers from THE ACOLYTE rather than to go to the trouble of doing all this; maybe I should quit FRAN-DUNGO? This of course is nothing personal directed at Rosebud Tucker, whose stuff has been good enough to let him havea vacation this once. I merely mean that such extraneous trivia should not be considered as satisfying activity requirements. By the way, Pong, how's your rose---Bud? Don't ever pull a deal like this on me, tho! (By now you other people are wondering what this is all about....but then Coger has been a mine of information to me.) Don't mind me if I'm cryptically craptic. ---oOo--- LIGHT. Not as good as the old subscription issues, but was really glad to see it. Now that Crotchie is back in publishing, I know where to send my next article--SEX LIFE IN FANDOM. ---oOo--- THE FANTASY COMMENTATOR. Absolutely and unequivocally the BEST thing in this mailing. More please, and preferably in every mailing. ---oOo--- IN MEMORIAM: SPIRIT OF FOOFOO. The first 98765 pages, aside from giving some interesting background, were a dead loss; but his became of considerable interest when you hit LA. After all, wasn't this entire project a bit exhibitionistic? ---oOo--- FOO-FOO SPECIAL JR. Entertainingly good. ---oOo--- MEET FAPA. Thanks, Al. -- 6 --
