L e p r e c h a u n 9 DAN ZISSMAN: * * * On Ohm's Law -- Amerage (I) = Voltage (E) [divided by] Resistance (R) * * * I equals E over R Describes those things Which rule the universe Of electronics. But Ohm knew nothing About equations. Amperes and electromotive force, Resistance, inductance, And impedance too, Cannot replace the equation When I minus U Means zero. Power (W) = EI Teachers can explain That power is the product Of amps and volts But no word is uttered About the lack of power That remains When U is subtracted from I. I-U = 0 Equations lose their meaning And resolve themselves to words -- Just words, sans rhyme or reason, Lacking any meaning for the things that count, For this I know -- and know too well -- That knowledge doesn't count for beans When it's not shared with you. I-U = 0
