THE RENDEZVOUS CHARLES POWELL, 241 S. Leeds Ave., Indianapolis, Ind., writes; "Sorry I never got around to writing this before now, but would like to say I am glad to be a member of the IFA. I can't truthfully say that I have been a regular reader of Fantasy mags. However, what I have read I have found to be very interesting. I would like to say the IFA library interests me highly. I would like to hear more about it as it seems like a pretty good way to get acquainted with a lot more fantasy magazines without quite so much expense." ((Welcome to our group, Charly. Stf books & mags R available, so dig in!)) MORRIE JENKINSON, 314 E. Willard St., Muncie, Ind., enthuses: "The first issue of the IFA REVIEW came Sat. If this is a sample of what's to come, give me time to tell the other fanmag editors that they needn't continue further with their publications. Man! What an issue!!! Shroyer's "Night Thoughts" is swell; this type of weird fiction has an unexplained appeal to me. I was surprised to see my letter in this issue. Incidentally, this is my first letter ever published. Cramer's letter proved very interesting and suggestive. The biographies and miscellany were almost the best parts of the issue. ((Morris seems a mite enthused over the 1st ish. Wait till he sees this much larger number. And for the umptieth time, fellows, pitch in and help. The sooner your material comes in, the sooner can I go to work assembling it.)) WARD HARRIMAN, 1403 S. McClure St., Marion, Ind., says this: "Received a copy of the IFA REVIEW and I was certainly surprised at the covers and the inside contents. Give Morris my vote on such excellent work. May he continue to do so in the future. Give my regards to the gang, and if I can help out you can count on me to help it expand." ((I know Morrie appreciates your comments re: his work. A lot of us like it. ....Also, I publicily apologize for the bad hektoing of your biography. As I explained to you in a letter, it was the result of a rush of hektoing & subsequent mechanical difficulties.)) RAY BERSI, 2716 San Bruno Ave., San Francisco, Cal., writes: "By Gosh, that IFA really appeals to me. I would be glad to join. You really hit the point of your circular letter. A club at last for real, dyed in the wool fans: Its about time we forgot about the various petty ideas and formed a club for fans interested in Fantasy for it's entertainment. I have enjoyed countless hours reading good fantasy which seems to be so scarce now." ((Well, Ray, you've found a club whose members see eye to eye with you. Thanks for the interest in cooperation which I've received from you since you joined.)) BASIL WELLS, Box 18, Springboro, Pa., writes: "Glad to hear from anyone interested in the older, as well as the newer, stf tales. I buy practically all the present crop of pulps dealing with the broadest of fields. Westerns palled on me after the first half dozen and detectives lasted me but a couple of [?]. I'd like to hear from more of the boys out in Indiana. Been out through that country three or four times and it's a great country. Almost as nice as Pennsylvania. ((Basil, has a lot more to say, but space is limited, so . . . . Thanks for helping out with those stories . . . . Members will be interested in hearing that he had "Rebirth of Men" published in the latest Super Science.))
