Mel, Julie, Tom and William Hibbard have been specifically kind to the Byrd School. "one person's chaos is somebody elses plan that works.... the future isn't what it used to be." Jill Johnson 1970 This morning's mail was a black card from Bob. He has to go to California. His son was critically ill with a Kidney disease. He's been massaging the kid's foot for a month and now he's completely well. And Stephen's writing for me a magazine. he's 12 and was the first one to lean into the wire seeing the lion out my window leading to the son, the ox, the child. Stephen is a worm. He wants to know how is the people reaction to me. Hans says O.K. but I forgot to let his class talk. Hans is fantastic ; there is no difference between the way he talks about his work and the way the students there all level together -- everyone. And the rehearsal Wednesday was much longer than ten. seeing the work now with a tired casualness that I liked. The tape has the energy. The miracle whipping the floor. I'm dancing an imaginary cathedral the dancer of the few, no city perhaps. We're all . Sheeping. The lions out of the mouth lead to the ox who swallows the sun.
